The increasing cases of violence, especially against women and children, have reached an alarming level and require serious handling. In addition, justice and gender equality have not been fully realized, this is due to socio-cultural influences in society where men are superior and women are subordinates, placing women and men in different and unequal positions and roles, resulting in discrimination against women, therefore women and children as groups who are vulnerable to being victims of violence often do not have the space or information to overcome and find the best solution to the problems they are experiencing.

In an effort to improve the quality of services in providing protection to women and children and the general public, the Jambi Provincial Uptd PPA presents a complaint application system, namely Silayang as a place for online complaints for victims of cases of violence against women and children in the form of fast services. as a solution to problems for victims by skilled personnel in their respective fields
