SimpleTXT: EPUB & Ebook Reader

SimpleTXT is an offline ebook reader for EPUB and TXT files — built for pure, distraction-free reading.

No ads. No login. A fully offline reading app.

Read your books and novels offline, with instant loading for large files.

TXT is the home turf; EPUB is auto-converted to clean plain text.

Reading should feel calm. No pop-ups interrupting a chapter. No sign-ups before opening a book. Just you and the text.

NO ADS. COMPLETELY FREE.

No ads from the moment you install — no banners, no interstitials, no "watch an ad to continue." No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no hidden fees.

EPUB, MADE SIMPLE

Import an EPUB and SimpleTXT turns it into clean plain text: complex formatting is stripped away, leaving only the words, the chapters, and a reading rhythm that feels right. This is distraction-free reading, not layout-preserving — SimpleTXT does not keep original fonts or page layouts. TXT, EPUB, and ZIP archives all import in seconds.

BUILT FOR LARGE FILES

Millions of characters load instantly. Massive novels, long documents, and oversized files open and scroll without a stutter or crash.

CHAPTERS, SORTED FOR YOU

SimpleTXT finds chapters automatically — even in a plain TXT novel that has no built-in table of contents. Jump to any chapter or slide through the progress bar. Nothing to set up before you start reading.

READ ALOUD, FULLY OFFLINE

When you'd rather listen, let SimpleTXT read to you. The narration follows along with sentence-by-sentence highlighting, with adjustable speed, switchable voices, and a sleep timer (end of chapter, or 15 / 30 / 60 minutes). Read-aloud uses your phone's built-in text-to-speech engine — no network needed, no text ever uploaded — with lock-screen and notification controls.

WI-FI TRANSFER. NO CABLE, NO ACCOUNT.

Open the transfer page in any browser and drag files in over Wi-Fi. TXT, EPUB, and ZIP all transfer wirelessly — no USB cable, no desktop app.

READ YOUR WAY

Five eye-friendly themes — Warm Paper, Stone, Mint, Moss, and Night — calm to read for hours. Adjust font size, line spacing, and margins, and switch the font itself. Move between smooth scroll and page-flip modes, or turn on auto-scroll — five speeds, hands-free reading.

YOUR BOOKS STAY ON YOUR DEVICE

No login. No cloud sync. No camera, microphone, or contacts access. Your books stay on your phone — readable offline, anytime. On the subway, on a flight, in a signal-dead zone. The app uses anonymous analytics to improve performance; your reading content is never shared.
