Solve IT

Solve IT is a nationwide innovation competition implemented by iCog Labs, the US Embassy and JICA Ethiopia. Spanning 15 cities across Ethiopia, our primary aim is to decentralize technology by empowering local innovators and helping them launch their own tech start-ups. In addition to helping the youth solve their community problems, Solve IT is a fertile ground where young innovators and investors connect through a year-long ‘Incupetion’ (incubation and competition) program.

Solve IT’s mobile application is Ethiopia’s First Startup Platform focused on facilitating communication for the competition. Through this mobile application, plenty of resources like technical documents, training slides, business models and tutorial videos are provided to our competitors aimed at helping them excel in their entrepreneurial journey. Information before, during and after the competition including event dates, winners and reminders are posted via this application.

Solve IT mobile application is a great platform where young innovators interact with their mentors, ask questions and also participate in forum discussions with like-minded innovators across Ethiopia about tech scenes in the country and emerging technologies around the world. Investors can also use the Solve IT mobile app to access the projects in our database as well as bookmark their preferred projects for further discussions and a possible partnership.
