The Rasga Mortalha is a widespread sign in the North and Northeast regions, having its origin as varied as the cultures that inhabit these regions. Barn Owl may have been a young albino or a plump girl nicknamed the white owl. Whatever its origin, the end that gave rise to the legend was the same, a lost love and life cut short by murder. The terror of its inhuman scream, as its name suggests, echoes the injustice suffered, the avenging wrath and the inexorable fate of those who witness it.
