Charm Loops: Unlink Rings

Charm Loops is a ring puzzle about jewelry. Every board is a tangle of metal rings linked together, and your job is to untie the rings one at a time until the whole tangle is free.

Rotate a ring with one finger: drag it around its centre until the split in the band lines up with the clip. The ring slips free, flies onto your charm chain and the tangle gets a little looser. If you like to spin rings, untie rings and plan a few moves ahead, this is a gentle brain puzzle with a sparkle.

There is no timer and no fail state, so you can take your time. Study the knot, find the ring that can move, and turn it. A good ring puzzle should feel like fiddling with a real piece of jewelry, and Charm Loops is built around that feeling.

The rings are soft gold, silver and rose gold, and each one is set with a ruby, sapphire, amethyst, emerald or diamond. Every ring you unlink adds another charm to your chain, so a finished board looks like a little charm bracelet.

WHO IT IS FOR Charm Loops is for anyone who enjoys a rotate a ring puzzle, a jewelry puzzle or a charm bracelet theme with a bit of logic. If you like to unlock rings, untie the rings, or turn magic rings until they slip apart, you will feel at home. It suits short breaks and long evenings alike, because every board is its own small brain puzzle.

WHY PLAYERS LIKE UNLINKING RINGS There is something satisfying about a tangle that comes apart. You look at the linked rings, work out which one has a free path, rotate it onto the clip and watch it fly off. Small boards teach the idea, bigger tangles ask you to think about the order. A ring puzzle game like this rewards patience, not speed.
