Street; A road in residential areas, usually smaller than streets and boulevards, on which transportation is provided. The street is used to facilitate the transportation of pedestrians and vehicles and their access to the surrounding buildings. Some tiny streets between neighborhoods may not be suitable for vehicular traffic. However, depending on the socio-economic changes in the settlements, streets that are wider than those in the size of a street can also be seen.

The street designation was used in medieval Europe for narrow and long pedestrian crossings. Narrow streets, which can be seen in almost all of Europe even today, started to be used for horse transportation as well as pedestrians with the progress of the ages. With the invention of the automobile in the 19th century, since the wide streets were not sufficient for this transportation, most of the roads were replaced by streets.

Streets only cover trade routes in Asia, lines in the city. Streets in Asia and Africa were not paved with stones as in the west but instead made of earth. In particular, in some places, no street & street traces were found. However, today, eastern cities have asphalt streets, as in all parts of the world.
