Sundown

Sundown is a deduction puzzle. Fill an N×N grid with suns and moons so that every rule is satisfied — and there's only one way to do it.

THE RULES

• Each row and column must contain exactly half suns and half moons.

• No three consecutive cells in a row or column may show the same symbol.

• No two rows or columns may be identical.

• Cells connected by = must match. Cells connected by × must differ.

Everything follows from those four rules. No guessing. No trial and error. Just logic.

CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE

Pick from four grid sizes — 6×6, 8×8, 10×10, or 12×12 — and four difficulty levels. Easy puzzles rely on counting and the no-three rule. Hard puzzles require reasoning about every valid way a row or column could be completed. Expert puzzles pull out all the stops. Every puzzle is generated fresh and has exactly one solution reachable by deduction.

HINTS THAT TEACH

Stuck? Tap Hint. The first tap highlights the cells relevant to the next deduction. The second tap shows you the reasoning in plain language. The third tap fills in the answer. You can always stop after the first or second tap and work it out yourself — that's the point.
