Know that a husband is a leader in the household, for his wife, also for his children, because God has made him a leader. God gives priority to men who are greater than women, because it is he who is obliged to provide for his wife. And Allah the Exalted said:

"Men (husbands) are protectors for women (wives), because Allah has exalted some of them (men) over some others (women), and because they (men) have provided their living and wealth." [ An-Nisaa ': 34]

Each husband and wife have rights and obligations, but the husband has advantages over his wife.

Allah the Exalted said:

"And they (women) have the right to be balanced with their obligations in an appropriate manner. But husbands have advantages over them. Allah Almighty, All-Wise. "[Al-Baqarah: 228]

After the wife's guardian or parent surrenders to her husband, then the obligation to obey to the husband becomes the highest right that must be fulfilled, after his obedient obligations to Allah and His Messenger sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.
