By holding McDonald's's "Super Space" book in your hands, you can now bring many of the images shown in the book to life on your smartphone or tablet with this app - just by scanning the pages with AR markers in the book.

Great fun!

This is how you bring the book to life:

• Install this free app ("Super Space") on your smartphone or tablet.

• Scan a book page with a red "AR +" sign. In order for you to be able to use all functions, the sound of your device must be switched on.

• Use simple gestures and your fingers to navigate the AR world. If you see a button in the AR world, you can just tap it.

• For some of the 3D models, you can adjust the speed using the slider bar.

• You want to take a photo or a video? Click on the "Camera" or "Video" button on the top right! Video recording automatically stops after 10 seconds if you do not finish it yourself. After that, you'll see the footage and decide if you want to save it to your device.

• Tip: With the pop-up menu on the top left, you can return to the main menu from any mode, restart an action, or get information about the games.

• Important: This app contains no advertising and is specially designed for children.

What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented Reality (short: AR) connects the real world with interactive animations that you can access via a smartphone or tablet. For example, you can watch pictures in a book or magazine in 3D, view them from all angles, or playfully engage with them. With the app "Super Space" you will get to know a number of possible AR functions.
