Surat Al Kahfi

Surah Al-Kahf also called Ashabul Kahf is the 18th surah in the Qur'an. This sura consists of 110 verses, including the Makkiyah surahs. Named Al-Kahf and Ashabul Kahf which means Cave Dwellers.

Surah Al-Kahf tells the story of Ashabul Kahf or the inhabitants of the cave (otherwise known in English, The Seven Sleepers). These two names are taken from the stories contained in this sura in verses 9 to 26.

Ashabul Kahfi is the story of seven young men and a dog who fell asleep for 309 years in a cave. These seven young men refused to worship idols according to the king's orders, and even expressed it in front of the king.

In addition to the stories mentioned above, there are also several stories in this letter, all of which contain useful lessons for human life.
