♿ ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

Switchly uses Android's Accessibility Service for app, website and supported in-app blocking.

When enabled, Accessibility allows Switchly to detect the currently visible app or supported content and enforce the blocking rules you configured.

Switchly uses Accessibility access to:

• Detect the foreground app

• Determine whether it should be blocked

• Detect supported website or in-app surfaces

• Display the Switchly blocking screen

• Enforce your configured restrictions while switching between apps

Switchly does not use Accessibility access to read your messages, passwords, typed text or keystrokes, and it is not used for advertising or profiling.

Accessibility access is optional and must be enabled manually in Android Settings. Without it, profiles and some automation can still work, but reliable blocking cannot be enforced.
