TapHue

TapHue is a fast-paced color reaction game built around timing, rhythm, and focus. Designed in a clean vertical layout, the experience places you in control of a vibrant flow of falling cubes, each demanding quick and precise decisions. The minimalist neon-inspired style keeps attention on what matters most: color recognition and perfect timing.

In TapHue, colored cubes fall from the top of the screen straight down the central play area. Your goal is to tap the matching color button at the exact moment a cube passes through the activation zone near the bottom. Each correct action removes the cube, rewards points, and builds your combo streak. The longer your streak, the more satisfying the rhythm becomes as you sync your reactions with the continuous motion.

At the start, only a couple of colors are active, allowing you to ease into the pace. As the session progresses, additional colors are gradually introduced, increasing the complexity and testing your ability to react quickly under pressure. The speed of falling cubes also rises over time, making every second more intense and engaging.

Not every cube should be tapped. Occasionally, neutral gray cubes appear among the colored ones. These require restraint rather than action. Pressing any button when a gray cube passes results in a mistake, encouraging players to stay alert and avoid automatic reactions. This balance between action and control creates a dynamic gameplay loop that rewards both speed and awareness.

Players begin with a limited number of lives, and each mistake—whether from pressing the wrong color, missing a cube, or reacting to a gray one—reduces that count. However, strong performance is rewarded. By maintaining a streak of correct inputs, you build a combo, and reaching a high combo milestone restores a life, giving you a chance to extend your run and push for a better result.

TapHue continues endlessly, increasing in speed and intensity until all lives are lost. The challenge evolves naturally, without fixed levels, creating a smooth progression that adapts to your skill. Visual feedback enhances every interaction, with subtle flashes for correct taps and brief effects for mistakes, keeping the experience responsive and immersive.
