TapSpeak is a fast, friendly AAC (augmentative & alternative communication) app that helps people express themselves with simple, tappable tiles. Tap to speak a word or phrase instantly—or switch to Compose Mode to build full sentences before speaking.

Why TapSpeak?

One-tap to voice. Big, clear tiles speak immediately with natural Text-to-Speech.

Compose when you need it. Build a message from multiple tiles, then speak it in one go.

Favorites, Recents & Emergency. Keep essentials a tap away. Toggle each row in Settings.

Easy editing. Long-press any tile to rename it or delete it. Add new tiles with the + button.

Caregiver lock. Protect editing with a PIN (optional biometrics supported on capable devices).

Your language, your voice. Choose a language (including English US/UK/AU, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Chinese). Tap the “Voice • Install / Select” button to use the system’s voice picker.

Clean design. High-contrast tiles and a modern look that’s easy on the eyes.

Thoughtful details

Compose Bar with Backspace, Clear, Speak/Stop controls.

Favorites star on each tile for quick access.

Recents row remembers what you’ve said.

Emergency row for urgent phrases you set.

Session unlock so caregivers can temporarily allow edits, then lock again.

No account needed. Just install and start tapping.

Who it’s for

TapSpeak is designed for anyone who benefits from AAC support—children and adults, new communicators, people with speech or language challenges, and caregivers, teachers, or therapists looking for a simple, reliable tool.

Languages & voices

TapSpeak uses your device’s built-in Text-to-Speech. Install or select voices through the system picker from Settings. English offers US, UK, and AU options; many other major languages are supported. Speech rate and pitch are adjustable in-app.

Privacy & connectivity

TapSpeak works offline once voices are installed via the system TTS engine. No sign-in required.
