TB Mukt Dehradun, Uttarakhand is a digital initiative by the Dehradun, Uttarakhand Government to create awareness about Tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis commonly affects the lungs, but can also affect other parts of the body. It spreads from person to person through the air, when people who are infected with TB infection cough, sneeze or otherwise transmit respiratory fluids through the air. It is a disease that can be cured with proper treatment. India has the highest TB burden according to World Health Organization (WHO) statistics for 2017, giving an estimated incidence of 2.74 million cases of TB (India) out of a global incidence of 10 million cases.

The Dehradun, Uttarakhand Government has launched a district wide intensified campaign to end TB in the state before the target date. Various initiatives have been taken to control and end TB in the state.

As part of these initiatives, the Dehradun, Uttarakhand Government has launched this TB Mukt Dehradun, Uttarakhand app.

Through this app, any individual can assess the risk factors associated with TB and can also access details of all TB test facilities such as DMCs. All contact details of TB test facilities have been provided along with their GPS location.

The contact details of all TB district, block level officers are also listed.

The TB Mukt Dehradun, Uttarakhand app also has an informative section that provides details like about TB, Symptoms of TB, Diagnosis, Management and other information related to Tuberculosis.

There is a separate section for volunteers and health professionals to register and join the fight against TB.

The TB Mukt Dehradun, Uttarakhand app is in sync with the Digital India initiative of the Government of India and with the vision of our Honorable Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi of ending TB in India by 2025.

The Dehradun, Uttarakhand Government is providing a finacial assistance of Rupees Five Hundred to TB patients under "Nikshay Poshan Yojna" to address their nutrition needs.
