Thailee is an e-commerce site that supports women from marginalised backgrounds to set up their own online business.

Volunteers Initiative Nepal has been running holistic women’s empowerment programmes for the past 15 years. Our goal is to support women through education, life skills and entrepreneurship development initiatives so that they can be socially and economically independent.

VIN’s experience of working directly with talented but marginalised women has shown that there’s a need to branch out into the online market and connect buyers and sellers without barriers.

Our next focus now is to train more women on digital literacy so more marginalised women can become part of this online market.

There are already lots of e-commerce websites and mobile applications.
