About The Sacred Tree
A Non-Profit Team Working Worldwide
With a rich and harmonic heritage, India’s past is often depicted as being correlated to nature, and it is often talked about how its culture has an impeccable synergy with mother earth. Our traditions celebrate mother nature, and our people relish it.
The Indian culture significantly shows the integration of the country and its people into its land, surroundings, and its nature. But, it is not quite enough in the contemporary world. The contemporary world requires much more careful and specific positive human intervention. Today, nature is not what the tales of the past tell us. It is ENDANGERED. Cities pollute it, industries exploit it, and people simply overlook it. We must strive to be better, to be greater. And so, in the need of achieving the humanitarian mission of becoming greater, The Sacred Tree Foundation was established.
We are an organization that identifies and acknowledges the many issues faced and the problems caused by today's society to Mother Nature. We aim at contributing to the revival and welfare of nature and society. The Sacred Tree is a non-profit organization with no permanent employees. Every act for the betterment of our surroundings is genuine, without any ulterior motive for personal gains. Every person that chooses to help out at the Sacred Tree as a concerned citizen and wishes to give back to society is welcomed with open arms. There is no payment involved.
So far, we have carried out a food distribution program at a Leprosy Rehabilitation Center in New Delhi, raised donations to feed the hungry at AIIMS Crossing in Delhi, to help children suffering from eye diseases in Rajasthan, for the poor requiring free medical and dental attention, and charitable schools in Delhi and Mumbai providing free education to the urban poor.
We have the ambition to make India a better place with our efforts. Also, we plan to grow over 20 million trees within the next 5 years and extend our reach to most states in India.
"We intend to make the world a better place, and will not stop anytime soon. To fulfill our goals, there is a need for action, and for action, we require as many willing people as possible. In this fight to make things right, you can join us too. Donate, work as a volunteer, or write educational articles for The Sacred Tree Blog. There are numerous ways to contribute.
