Donkey Kong Country is a 1994 platforming video game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and the first game in the Donkey Kong Country series. Nintendo re-released Donkey Kong Country in the United States in September 2017 as part of the company's Super NES Classic Edition.
