Togocheck

Togocheck is an initiative of the Center for Observation and Analysis of the Web (Co @ web).

Togocheck has made it his mission to uncover fake news and place it in its contexts if possible.

Togocheck was launched following the observation that, a lot of false information flooded the networks

social welfare in Togo and other African countries. Most of this information was disseminated as notes

voice via Whatsapp or by picture.

No social stratum was spared, as broadcaster or receiver.

Togocheck's mission is therefore to carry out fact-checking in order to provide populations with the right

information. Its particularity lies in the dissemination of verified information by audio via Whatsapp and facebook.

The Togocheck initiative is non-partisan and independent.
