TravelSmart is an android-based smart city traveler's guide. The mobile application helps users traveling new to a city create schedules and search for nearby places. Manual Schedules ask the users for their interests in specific categories and shows them top-rated places against those categories. Users select places of their preferences and get a map showing the shortest routes from one place to another, and the time required to travel. They can navigate through the map or modify it. The schedule is saved to their history where they can access it afterward also. The auto-schedule takes out the hassle of selecting places to visit manually and creates an auto-schedule based on the ratings from the Foursquare API for the categories that the user likes. The user can also search for nearby places against different categories and navigate to a place using the map. The user can maintain his profile, and also see the history of his/her trips.
