TreeBox is an application that allows free financing of reforestation projects in several regions of the world.

It also allows you to calculate your carbon footprint so that you can offset it.

TreeBox also offers you the possibility of financing various "top-of-the-line" environmental protection associations free of charge.

How it works ?

To make a free donation and thus finance reforestation projects or associations working for the environment, all you have to do is watch a video advertisement of about 30 seconds. Thus, 70% of the money generated by viewing the advertisement is donated to the association of your choice. The remaining 30% is used to cover application costs.

The carbon footprint calculator allows you to calculate your different CO2 emissions:

- Journeys: by car, motorcycle, plane or bus

- Housing: according to its surface area and the type of energy used: electricity, gas, fuel oil or wood.

- Food: according to your main diet

You will know the equivalent in trees to plant in order to offset your carbon footprint.

Why plant trees?

Forests are carbon sinks because trees absorb CO2 that circulates in the atmosphere. One hectare of trees can capture up to 6 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year and thus help us fight global warming. Planting trees also helps to fight against soil erosion and the depletion of freshwater reserves, because forest soils regulate their flow and filter contaminants.

You can follow your positive impact on the planet from your profile and find the best actions to be more ecological on a daily basis and reduce your environmental impact.

The News and Projects section of the application also allows you to finance various associations working for the environment free of charge.
