UMAPIT

Find out about the life around you and share your observations. This app and its accompanying website (www.UMAPIT.org) allow you to easily record sightings of selected key species in the field using a set of images and descriptions. The species have been seen on the University of Manchester’s campus and many are also found across the UK. The descriptions and information provided will apply to the species commonly found on mainland UK. Using the app you can capture details of species you encounter in field, record the finding on a map and send the records directly to the website database to build up a picture of the distribution of these species. Your sightings will be used to track species and their distributions.

This app can be used by young and old, beginners and experienced recorders.
