In an effort to improve transparency & accountability in developing organizations; UNICEF Peshawar Office has taken a step ahead in introducing a technology enabled system with a name UMMS (UNICEF Mobile Monitoring System) which helps in improving the monitoring, sharing, and application of data.

The Idea behind the system is to use smart phones to monitor activities of all projects in KP/FATA. The Mobile application in smart phones would confirm the actual visits made by TPFM followed by the location on GIS map on real time basis along with time stamp. In addition to it, It would also be used for highlighting Red Alert / High Risk issues in activities implemented by different Implementing Partners.

UNICEF confidently believes that this innovation would play a vital role in ensuring the transparency, accountability and effectiveness in execution of projects implemented by CSOs. UNICEF has also a made significant progress in developing and implementing a Mobile based Application to gather data from field on real-time basis. It will help organizations, donors and government to use M&E data for immediate decision-making, better implementation and delivery of projects and services in long run.
