Climb into the cab of a grapple excavator and run your own scrap yard.

Dump trucks roll in with loads of junk: fridges, washers, steel beams, rebar, car wrecks, copper pipe, catalytic converters and more. Pick through every load, work out what each piece is really worth, and get it to the right place. Sorting is everything: copper, brass, aluminium and stainless pay far more in their own bins, and a wrong piece in the wrong place contaminates the load and costs you.

FEEL THE WORK

A fully animated grapple with a working rotator and five tines, a switchable scrap magnet, dump trucks that reverse in and tip, a hooklift truck that rolls skips on and off, and rainy days when puddles spread across the yard and every machine shines wet.

AFTER DARK

At the end of every shift the sun sets, your operator locks the gate and drives home, and the floodlights come on. Then the night visitors arrive: raccoons dig through your scrap heap and knock over drums, burglars with torches sneak off with your most valuable scrap, and teenage vandals spray graffiti across your machines. Hire guard dogs to protect the yard: a German Shepherd, Doberman or Rottweiler sleeps by the gate all day and chases intruders off at night.
