The authentic date of birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Mawlid) according to the eminent historians and biographers of Islam:

1. Imam Ibn Ishaq (85-151H): The Prophet ﷺ was born on the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal of Aam ul-Feel (Year of the Elephant). [1]

2. Imam Ibn Hisham (213 H): The Prophet ﷺ was born on the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal of Aam ul-Feel. [2]

3. Imam Ibn Jareer at-Tabari (224-310 H): The Prophet ﷺ was born on the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal of Aam ul-Feel. [3]

4. Allama Abu-ul-Hasan Bin Ali Muhammad Al-Mawardi (370-480 H): The Prophet ﷺ was born 50 days after the Ashab-ul-Feel event and after the death of His father on Monday 12th of Rabi al-Awwal. [4]

5. Imam Al-Hafiz Abu-al-Fatah Al-Undalasi (671-734 H): Our leader and Prophet ﷺ was born on Monday 12th of Rabi al-Awwal of Aam ul-Feel. [5]

6. Allama Ibn Khaldun (732-808 H): The Prophet ﷺ was born on the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal of Aam ul-Feel. It was the 40th year of Emperor Kasra Noshairwan. [6]

7. Muhammad As-Sadiq Ibrahim Arjoon: From various (chains of transmission) it has been established as truth that the Prophet ﷺ was born on Monday 12 Rabi al-Awwal of Aam ul-Feel during the reign of Kasara Noshairwan . [7]

8. Sheykh Abdul-Haq Muhadath Dehlvi (950-1052 H): Know it well, the overwhelming majority of Sayar and Tarikh's experts (ie biographers and historians) argue that Al-Hazrat (c. 'ie The Prophet ﷺ) was born in Aam ul-Feel ... It is well known that the month was that of Rabi al-Awwal and that the date was that of the 12th. Various scholars have shown their approval for this dated. [8]

9. Nawab Muhammad Sadiq Hasan Khan Bohapalvi: The birth (of the Prophet ﷺ) took place in Mecca at the time of Fajr on Monday 12th of Rabi al-Awwal of Aam ul-Feel. The majority of scholars support this view. Imam Ibn Jawzi reported the consensus (Ijmah) of scholars on this issue. [9]

As you can see, the historians and scholars of the 1st and 2nd centuries of the Hegira, like those of the following centuries, have for the most part authenticated the date of the 12th as that of the blessed birth of the Prophet Muhammad [ﷺ [10] . This date is officially recognized by the Islamic world [11].
