Wavetable & virtual analog synth
Voltaic is a wavetable and virtual analog synthesizer.
Its wavetable has three axes: 27 tables, a continuous morph, and eleven warp modes — sync, bend, ring, folding, formant, saturation and more. Every combination is band-limited along the third axis, pitch, so even deep wavefolding never aliases — and it still moves under an envelope, an LFO, aftertouch or the mod wheel. Alias-free normally costs you modulation, and precomputed tables can't follow a knob. Voltaic does both.
OSCILLATORS
• Three oscillators — each can be sine, triangle, saw, pulse, wavetable, PADsynth or a struck modal body (deep, string, tine, wood, bell, glass)
• Up to 7 detuned unison voices per oscillator — 21 per note
• The sub feeds the other two: ring modulation, AM and through-zero phase modulation as independent, mixable switches
• White, pink and brown noise
FILTERS
• Eighteen: the textbook set plus modelled ladder, SEM and 303 circuits — and the modal bank again, so any source can ring through a body
• Cutoff and resonance each take their own envelope
MODULATION
• Four envelopes, two LFOs, sixteen destinations
• Morph and warp travel between an A and a B you set — put B below A and modulation runs downward
• Velocity, aftertouch and mod wheel each get their own routing page, all polyphonic — aftertouch alone reaches ten destinations
• Every parameter MIDI-learnable
AND
• Arpeggiator and step sequencer with per-step editing and swing
• Phaser, delay and reverb
• Record straight to WAV, FLAC or MP3
• 75 factory presets, a preset browser, and your own preset folder
• Appears as a MIDI instrument to other apps
