A lot of water is needed to produce food: growing, raising, processing, transportation and preparation all call for it. Only access to enough water can ensure that people are properly fed.
With We Eat Water, as well as finding out the water footprint of different foods and many of the world’s favourite recipes, you’ll be helping more people access the water they need to ensure that they are properly fed. 
We Eat Water is an app from the We Are Water Foundation, which was created on World Water Day and which has two main goals:


- To promote awareness and debate amongst the public and organisations on the need to create a new culture of water to permit the fair development and sustainable management of the world’s water resources.

- To carry out actions of all kinds to counter the negative effects of the lack of adequate water resources.
