We-Waves

This is a social networking site where users (called 'Wave Riders' or just 'riders') can post comments, share photographs and links to news or other interesting content on the Web, play games, live-chat, and stream live video. Our social network supports interactive online chat and the ability to comment on your friend's (wave rider's) profile pages (also known as 'waves'), in order to keep in touch, share information or just to wave!

How are we different from other social networks? Well, for one, we promise to NEVER collect individuals' data and sell it to anyone, whether they are a corporation or government... or ANYONE else. We do share some statistics with businesses, such as the number of users registered and the total amount of time people spend on the site. We do this for marketing purposes to entice businesses to buy advertising slots. We have to make money, after all. However, that's where it stops. No data on any individual will ever be given or sold to anyone. That's the number one reason why we started this site in the first place. The other things that separate us from the big sites is that we are working toward establishing a cryptocurrency that can be used on our site as well as invested in, for anyone interested. Currently, we use 'credits', but that will convert to a cryptocurrency as soon as it's properly set up.
