Webhook Notifier

Webhook Notifier is the alerting utility for engineers and operators. Point any system that can send an HTTP request — your monitoring stack, CI server, smart-home hub, intrusion detector, or hand-rolled cron job — at a unique URL the app gives you. When that URL is hit, your phone rings.

— Per-webhook rules. Match by HTTP method (GET / POST / PUT / PATCH / DELETE), by header value, or by substring or regex in the body. Alerts only fire when the request actually means something.

— Per-day quiet hours. Pick the days and time windows when each webhook may wake you. Outside the window, the alert is dropped silently — no buzz, no missed call.

— Per-webhook DND bypass. For the webhooks that genuinely cannot wait — production outages, water-leak alarms, intrusion alerts — flip the switch and the notification rings through Silent and Do Not Disturb. Uses a high-importance Android channel that bypasses DND.

— Share read-only. Hand the secret to a teammate and they receive every alert too. Rotate it any time to revoke shared access; existing subscribers keep their place until you remove them explicitly.

— Audit log. The most recent 30 days of incoming requests are visible in the app, so you can see exactly what hit each webhook, when, and whether it matched your rules.

— No tracking. No advertising. No analytics on the contents of your webhooks. The bearer that authenticates your device is generated on-device and stored only as a hash on the server.

How it works:

1. Open the app. It registers your device with our backend on first launch — no sign-up, no email, no password.

2. Tap "Create webhook" and give it a name. The app issues a unique URL of the form https://webhook-notifier.com/w/ and a one-time secret.

3. Point any HTTP-capable service at that URL. Your phone rings within a second or two of the URL being hit.

4. Set per-webhook rules to filter noise, and per-webhook preferences for sound, volume, active days/hours, and DND bypass.

Android push delivery uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). Devices without Google Play Services (de-Googled ROMs, Huawei AppGallery installs) will not receive notifications.

Privacy first. We collect:

• An opaque device ID generated on-device (not your Google account, advertising ID, or hardware identifier).

• Your FCM registration token, used only to deliver alerts to your device.

• A device label you can edit in the app.

• Webhook configurations and the bodies of incoming requests, retained 30 days for the audit log, then automatically pruned.

That is the entire dataset. No advertising IDs. No analytics SDKs. No tracking across apps. No location. No contacts.
