Women’s Safety App in collaboration with UNDP Pakistan

The Women’s Safety App is an innovative intervention in the wider discourse on women’s safety in the public sphere in Pakistan. This App will help WoW trainees, other female bike riders and even female pedestrians across Pakistan to mark zones as safe given their experience along with other features to support them.

Features

The app has the following features to make it interactive and user friendly:

- Log-in feature with number authentication to make it safer

- Feature to make use of google maps to flag areas as unsafe which would then be made public on the app for other users to make use of when planning their trips.

- Comments can also be made while marking sad areas so as to give more details.

- Direct link with city specific helpline/emergency/SOS number in case of emergencies.

- Access to WoW training manual designed by the Salman Sufi Foundation for riders to be benefitted from.

- Special chat feature where users can identify friends via their contact list and can have a private chat window.
