XBEAMS uses the transfer matrix method for plane beams and continuous carriers
XBEAMS works with the transfer matrix method for plane beams and continuous carriers. The beam can be arbitrarily statically over-determined, and may have spring supports and so-called Gerber joints. It is a small and fast – yet quite powerfull – program for lectures and training courses in elastostatics. It computes the reactions, i.e. shear forces, bending moments, angles and deflections. An online help manual via Internet along with 6 examples is included. XBEAMS is the English version of the well-known German program XBALKEN.
