The odd design of the Buds 3 Pro is what first caught my attention. Even though we've seen several earbuds without stems previously, these have a wider outer portion that gradually narrows at the ear tip. When viewed from the side, it kind of resembles a cartoon character's shoe, and that design is necessary because these are Redmi's most expensive earphones to date, containing active noise cancellation that should block up to 35dB of outside commotion.

The Graphite Black color of our review device is rather attractive, with the pebble-shaped casing being more gray than black and the buds primarily exhibiting a deeper tint aside from their glossy touch area. A matte texture, which is always preferred to glossy surfaces, is present on the earphones and casing. Toggling between the Transparency and ANC modes is also possible using the touch control area on the earbuds. The case and earbuds together weigh 55 grams, and the entire set is IPX4 splash-proof.

The Buds 3 Pro are shipped with silicone ear tips in size M. A second size M set, as well as tiny and big ones, are included in the packing.

The case's dimensions are 65 x 48 x 26 mm and it has a fairly sturdy cover that closes with a satisfying snap. Overall, Redmi Buds 3 Pro filter out a respectable amount of ambient noise and are not just a novelty item like some other earbuds. Transparency mode also performs admirably because it makes advantage of the three mic system to pick up surrounding users' voices, allowing you to have brief conversations without removing your earbuds.
