Your Stars Cricket was conceived at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground on the 13th of July 2014.

Early before the start of play on the final day Television Runner, Dominic Norton asked former England player and coach David Lloyd what the odds were for a result. Lloyd replied “No chance .. one thousand to one.” Dominic thanked ‘Bumble’ and headed upstairs to the commentary box.

A selection of the World’s finest commentators were sitting around the Green Room eating breakfast. Dominic asked the room if anyone had odds on the day’s cricket finishing with a result. From the back of the room a deep voice bellowed “Five hundred to one.” Dominic smiled and calmly explained that though the odds were good ‘Bumble’ had already offered him one thousand to one. The West Indian voice replied with even more gusto, “Two thousand to one!” Dominic put his hand in his pocket and retrieved a pound coin, walked over and placed the pound into the palm of Michael Holding. The two shook hands and the Green Room erupted with laughter.

About five minutes later a worried Michael Holding approached Dominic with the pound in his hand and said. “Dominic good odds don't make a good bet”. Dominic replied “Yes Michael but we have already shaken on this.”

Two hours later and with zero chance of a result Michael approached Dominic and said: “Dominic I feel sorry for taking your pound. May I get you a gift?”

Dominic replied, “Would you record my answerphone message?”
