Since neither Christ nor the apostles left specific guidelines for the way of daily prayer, active Christians, guided by the Holy Spirit, created different systems of prayer practices and texts.

One of them was the Rev. Alexander Akimit. Beginning his spiritual journey in the Palestinian monasteries, he went through three stages of intensity of daily prayer in his personal prayer life from the four "apostolic" hours of the morning, evening, noon and midnight, increasing to seven during the day and seven during the night to every hour. throughout the day.
