Moroccan reader Abdelhamid Ihsain was born in Rabat, Morocco, in 1932 AD, into a conservative family. During his childhood, the reader, Abdul Hamid Ahsayen, showed a keen innate intelligence and sharp intellectual prowess, so his father enrolled him in one of the Qur’anic books to memorize the Holy Qur’an and learn its rules. He lived up to his father’s expectations, as he learned a lot, so his perceptions opened and his talents were refined, and he was able to master the rules of the Qur’an and the Arabic languages. And French.

During his youth, reader Abdelhamid Ahsain joined the Moroccan Radio to work there, and was assigned the task of supervising the programs broadcast by the radio in classical Arabic. Over the years of his work in the corridors of Moroccan radio, he had the idea of ​​preparing a pioneering program in the field of Qur’anic teaching by teachers, an idea that was fermented and took the implementation stage thanks to his meeting with the reciter Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Husri, who encouraged him with the idea and advised him to implement it without hesitation.

Thus, reader Abdel Hamid Ahsayen established the “How to Read the Qur’an” program for Moroccan radio, the main goal of which was to teach listeners the proper rules for reading the Holy Qur’an through Warsh’s narration on the authority of Nafi’. In addition, he founded the first association of Tajweed scholars in Morocco, which included a prominent group of Moroccan scholars and sheikhs. This association served as the first building block for the launch of Tajweed teaching in Morocco, and thanks to it, the House of the Qur’an in Morocco was established during the sixties of the last century.

His radio experience, his innate talents, and his pioneering intellectual contributions in the field of intonation, among other factors, contributed to his appointment by the late Moroccan King Hassan II as the first reciter of the Ramadan Qur’anic procession in the year 1402 AH, which was broadcast on Moroccan television at the time. It received great interest and unparalleled follow-up, and during this procession. He used to recite two parts of the Holy Qur’an in about ten minutes in the manner of recitation, and despite the short time period, he maintained the rules of recitation and the exits of the letters.

Thanks to his extensive scholarly and media career, the reciter Abdel Hamid Ihsain is considered one of the most prominent figures of reading and intonation in Morocco. God Almighty willing, his soul took him on the evening of Monday, December 21, 1992 AD, and thus his career with the Qur’an stopped, without him stopping being mentioned or his achievements and initiatives being forgotten. .
