While sitting face to face with the game board in between, shuffle all the cards and divide them into 8 cards between 2 players. This is all about preparing for the game.

After deciding the first ball [1], take turns starting with the first ball and placing 1 card on the game board. At this time, there are two ways to put down the card.

Discard - If a card is not needed, it is placed on the map on the game board to indicate that it is a discard card.

Explore - Place it under the map in the area that matches the card. However, the number must be higher than the card already placed. For example, if a 6 is placed, you cannot place 1 to 5, nor the "investment" card described later.

If you somehow put down 1 card as above, you must replenish 1 card, it doesn't matter if you draw from either (1) the new card pile or (2) the discard pile. Of course, you cannot pick up the card you just discarded again on the same turn.

Special cards include "investment" cards, 3 of each region color. Instead of numbers, a handshake symbol representing the sponsor is drawn, so it is easy to distinguish. Each card of this card doubles the score of the region, 3 times for 2 cards, and 4 times for 3 cards. Of course, note that this score boost is applied even when it is negative.[2]

In this way, the moment the last card from the new deck is drawn, the game is over and points are calculated. It is stated in the manual, but it ends at the moment of importing, not 'importing and using'. It seems to be to prevent a one-shot reversal.

Scoring is done for each region by player, and the total of the cards laid down - 20 is the score for that region.[3] And, as described above, cards are laid down in ascending order, so basically, the cards are gradually laid down from the lowest number. First of all, provinces that have not played any exploration cards (not investment cards) do not count. So, if you have a high number but only one or two cards and it is a waste to discard them, one way is to keep holding them in your hand and waiting for the game to end.

In addition, 20 bonus points are added to the calculated score when 8 or more exploration cards (excluding investment cards) are laid down in a specific area.
