It is a Bible study app centered on the interpretation of the original text. Receive an exegetical meditation composed mainly of biblical theology as an alarm every morning/evening and meditate together. Supports decomposition in Hebrew and Greek Bible vocabularies. It is also possible to search the concordance (use index) that connects each vocabulary based on the original language. In particular, it reflected the importance of the Septuagint from the perspective of biblical theology. Designed under the banner of ‘cultivating the power of intuition’, the ‘Power Bible’ app is a web-based app that links 340,000 cross-references and annotations of each verse from quick and easy searches. We are currently demonstrating an aesthetic search that works with a hermeneutic algorithm, and recently equipped with a text-to-speech (TTS) function. Added Bible transcription function (February 27, 2022).

An overview of each function is as follows.

1. Meditation alarm function and annual reading table

Those who have installed Power Bible receive a message as an alarm twice a day (morning-evening) by default. This function, provided from the middle of last year (2021), is a program that aims to read the Bible once a year with a developer who is a biblical theologian. By presenting the expository meditation composed of biblical theological depth as an outline according to the 'through reading section' of the date, this is a way to induce each of you to read it together. (Alarm sound silence is supported in environment settings.)

2. Cross-Reference Bible:

Power Bible provides over 340,000 cross-referenced Bible verses. This is more than four times the volume of about 80,000-90,000 Bibles published in Korea. In itself, it will be a great aid to meditation and will enrich your inspiration.

3. Source parsing (decomposition) and concordance (index):

Basic parsing of Hebrew and Greek, as well as the ability to view the biblical usage/index of the corresponding vocabulary.

4. Bible Reading (TTS) function

As of July 2021, a function called Text-to-Speech has been added. It is a technology that reads text, not the audio recorded by the voice actor. It has been configured to support both the Korean Bible and the English Bible. With the development of the TTS engine, this function achieves a sound that is close to the voice of a voice actor. We hope that it will be very useful to our users. It is used via a catheter pad or a looming pad, or by calling the TTT pad directly. (Note: The TTS engine should be set to Google Tts or Samsung Tts engine on the device, but the Samsung engine performance is much better recently.)

5. Tin

We search and extract English annotations online. Calvin's commentary first, followed by John Gill and Albert Barnes' commentaries (accessible from the catheter pad). And the developer of this app has written a hermeneutic comment and is constantly updating it. I'm currently working on Genesis (this comment is accessible on all pads except the Loomingpad).

6. Aesthetic Search

You may have heard this name for the first time. This is a function that extracts related phrases by performing an analogical search for the search term. The purpose of this search algorithm is to extract and show the directionality of the vocabulary, not to find the falling value that we think of. It's a very challenging search technique, requiring time and constant refinement.

7. Looming Pad

The newly developed rooming pad was officially launched on December 31, 2021. It is a pad with readability in mind. Previous pads were designed based on search, so the screen composition may not be suitable for reading depending on the user's taste. If you set the main version of the Looming Pad Bible in the preferences window, you can read it while contrasting it. You can access the TTS (Bible Reading) Pad, Interlinear (Original Language Decomposition) Pad, Catheta (Annotation) Pad, and Diffraction from the Rooming Head.

8. Septuagint (Sept. 70) Use of the Bible

The Seventy Version is a translation of great value not only for the formation of the New Testament, but also for the formation of the Judeo-Christian liturgy community. Therefore, examining the main vocabulary used in this translation in conjunction with the New Testament is a very important learning method. This function is implemented in the PowerBible interface (available from the April 2nd, 2022 update).

11. Bookmark function

It has the ability to bookmark each verse of the Bible. If you read and search the Bible on each pad and have a verse to remember, click the flag icon to mark it. The marked passages are contained in the ‘Save List’ pad in the left drawer menu of the app. If you open this pad, if you click a singular verse, you can move to the bookmarked pad. If you want to compare plural verses from the original source, press and hold the plural verses one by one to select them, and then click the 'Compare Originals' button at the top left. If you do, only those phrases will be included in the interlinear pad. It is convenient if you use it well.

12. Bible transcription function

Supports Bible transcription function. In Bible transcription, the words are engraved in the memory. And it's fun. If your device is not comfortable with handwriting, you can use an external keyboard.

Search in Power Bible is implemented by dividing [section setting method] and [quick search].

■ A. [Section setting method] Search handles the following 6 cases as an algorithm.

・Search by book

· Search by book + chapter

· Search by book + chapter / verse

Book -> Book section search

·Book + Chapter ~> Book + Chapter section search

Book + Chapter + Verse ~> Book + Chapter + Verse Section Search

1) Search by book:

If you drop-down the desired book name from the ‘Book 1 List’ on the left side of the search handle, the result of the book section is immediately called. (Example: If you select ‘Genesis’, select ‘Genesis’ only, if you select ‘Leviticus’, select only ‘Leviticus’)

No matter where you are in the search section, if you select 'Book 1', the results corresponding to 'Book 1' are updated.

2) Book→Book Search:

If you select the desired book name from the ‘Book 2 list’ on the right side of the search handle, the section is selected based on the previously selected ‘Book 1’ to ‘Book 2’. (Example: If ‘Exodus’ is selected in Book 1 on the left and ‘Matthew’ is selected in Book 2 on the right, the results will be selected from ‘Exodus 1:1’ to ‘The last verse of Matthew’)

3) Book + Chapter + Verse → Search Book + Chapter + Verse:

Search from the desired book-chapter-verse to the desired book-chapter-verse.

4) Book + Chapter + Verse ← Book + Chapter + Verse Search:

It can be performed even if ‘Book 2’ is the first book in front of ‘Book 1’ selected.

5) Search terms:

Search for keywords within the set section of 1) to 4) above.

6) Search the number of search terms:

After the search term is searched, the word count search button is called. Search the number of relevant search terms within the selected section

■ B. Here is how to [Quick Search]:

If the above basic search handling operation is cumbersome and simple chapter-verse input is more convenient, this search box is convenient. Search according to the following abbreviation rules.

① One verse call → Genesis 15:1

② One call → Window 15

③ Section call → Genesis 15:1-16

④ Section call → Genesis 15:1-Exod 1:2

⑤ Keywords in one page → Window 15~Abram

⑥ Keywords in all → Love, Faith (Comma is separated by keywords)

⑦ Calling by grouping different singular phrases → Gen 15:1; Exodus 1:2, Lev 2:3

Search algorithms are continuously being added.

All of the above functions operate in less than 10MB. Power Bible's search resources are vast, so we don't provide data to the app itself. Since it is implemented online, the app file itself for users to install on their device is less than 10 MB.
