The Algeria football team ""الفريق الوطني الجزائري لكرة القدم" is the national team that represents Algeria in men's international football competitions, under the aegis of the Algerian Football Federation.

Also nicknamed the “Greens” team, the “Desert Warriors” and also especially the “Fennecs”. The Algerian team is the African selection that has the greatest series of invincibility on the continent.

The Algerian team played its first match on June 1, 1957 against Tunisia. The Algerian selection played its first qualifications for a final phase of the World Cup in 1970. It won its first trophy in 1990 during the African Cup of Nations, and for the second time it was in 2019.

In the World Cup, Algeria has qualified on four occasions for a final tournament in 1982, 1986, 2010 and in 2014 in Brazil, where Algeria qualifies for the first time in its history for the round of 16.
