Assembly Assistant (Unreleased)

Welcome to Assembly Assistant! This app will make managing assembly lines easier and more productive. Originally created for a cosmetic contract manufacturer, this app was created and tested by the people who use it.

Count and track the assembled units quickly and easily with three simple questions: How many full pallets, full layers, and full boxes. The rest of the math is done for you!

Maintain up to ten different operations at the same time.

Use the stopwatch on the main screen for logging downtime that is cutting into the productivity or you operations, saving you the step of opening an external stopwatch app.

To make it easier to take periodic samples through your process, use the record tracker to ensure the samples are more evenly taken through your process, and at the ratio you select.

Make checkpoints at different times through the progress of a job and then compare them. Track productivity over the course of the day, courter, or simply right after a change in productivity to learn ways to improve your process.

Set your own scheduled downtimes for breaks or other routines to exclude them from statistics. Keeping your assembly lines on a schedule and making your minutes count!

Use the app to help make predictions! Working orders around a schedule can be stressful. By letting the app help you make better predictions, you can be more precise and productive! Make the appropriate changes to a line sooner so you might not miss an important deadline.

By manually setting the deadline function of Assembly Assistant, it will give suggested targets to meet you goal. However an automatic deadline will be generated based on the performance of the job.

Make a report and send it simultaneously to multiple email and SMS text recipients.

Each job in Assembly Assistant can have batch change so that the previous totals are kept, but excluded from your most current count for that job. Portions of each job are separate, yet counted together. This works great for day totals. It also has the option to set the series total amount to expect the overall count to complete.This can be set at any time in the job.

After setting the case weight for a job the app will calculate and assume the weight for each pallet. Making it easier to have the finished goods stored or shipped.

Assembly Assistant requires the input of the pieces expected to be produced every minute (PPM), job total, and box stacking setup (Pallet Build), for each job.

Many apps will do what they say the will, and only after downloading them do we find they might not do it so well. Although this app is still being developed, Outside The Toolbox hopes to make the steps you take in your job a little easier, and to do it well!
