New Translation in Today's Language (NTLH): This translation, prepared by the Sociedade Bíblica do Brasil (2000), follows the principles of dynamic equivalence translation, being faithful to the original texts (in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek).

The version was developed by the Translation Commission of the Bible Society of Brazil, in a process that took 12 years of research, seeking to keep the text closer to the original texts – Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. The NTLH is a revision of the Bible in Today's Language, released in 1988. However, it has received such a thorough revision that it is considered by the SBB itself as a new translation of the Holy Scriptures.

In addition to being a dynamic translation, the Bible in Today's Language is also a “common language” translation. It is not, in itself, simple language (although it turns out to be that too), but the language that is common to most Brazilian Portuguese speakers today.

Above all, the Today's Language Translation was made, not for church leaders and pastors, but for people who are not in the habit of reading and who have had little or no contact with the Bible. It is the ideal tool for evangelization.
