Bharat to India Connect (B2Ic) is a voluntary, pro bono initiative of industry professionals for Rural Economic Development by sustainable rural job creation, that then becomes the nuclei for holistic Rural Development and Transformation. B2Ic initiative is self-funded by its benefactors and has no commercial interest.

There is no debate that India is destined to regain its pre-eminent position that it held for nearly 1800 years from 1 AD to 1800 AD, of #1 or #2 economy in the world, by 2050 or thereabouts. The debate must be when we get to that pre-eminent position of the largest economy in the world, will 70% Indians (86 Crore/860 Million) living in our 597,608 inhabited villages, majority job less or farmers with an average farm income of INR 5000 per month, partake in that pre-eminent position, or will we further increase the chasm between urban and rural India, between haves and have-nots, to such catastrophic levels that the clash between the two poles will be inevitable, the signs of which are already touching our daily lives by way of increased chaos, of all hues, in our towns and cities.

Rural shift to urban centers is just not a sustainable solution – how do you move 86 crore Indians to a handful of urban centers – which are already reeling under the rural influx and are increasingly becoming severely chaotic, and then profess to improve quality of life of the migrated rural and the incumbent urban residents?

Our vision is to connect – not shift – rural Bharat to urban India by developing our rural India where quality of life – economic as well as social – becomes significantly better than urban India.

Bharat to India Connect (B2Ic) will work on building and implementing sustainable models for comprehensive Rural Transformation.
