Balagah is a branch of Arabic language in the form of Arabic literature. Learning balagah must be preceded by learning grammar, in this case the science of Nahwu or syntax and the science of Shorof or Morphology.

The science of Balaghah examines the meanings contained in Arabic, not only the explicit meanings but also the implied meanings in the language.

Balagah studies are broadly divided into three parts, namely Bayan, Ma'ani and Badi.

- Bayan studied Tasybih, Majaz and Kinayah.

- Ma'ani examines Kalam Khabari, Kalam Insyai, Ijaz, Ithnab, Musawah, Taqdim, Takhir, Qosor, Washol and Fashol.

- Badi discusses the beauty of lafadz and its meaning. The beauty of lafadz such as Saja', Iqtibas, and Jinas. The beauty of meanings such as Tauriyah, Thibaq, Muqobalah, Husnu at-Ta'lil, Uslub Hakim and others.
