Camera Civile Cosenza

The "Stefano Rodotà" Civil Chamber of Cosenza is a non-profit organization that aims to promote and foster the development of the civil legal system and the enhancement of the role of the lawyer.

Established by 26 founders in May 2019, its mission is to:

- promote any initiative aimed at adapting the legal system to the needs of the community and contributing to the improved functioning of civil justice;

- promote any initiative useful for judicial and extrajudicial activity, with particular emphasis on civil matters, including through the development of legislative proposals, the organization of conferences and debates, and the promotion of studies and publications;

- promote the strengthening of the role of the legal profession, particularly civil law, as a guarantor of the implementation of fundamental rights;

- encourage and promote the continuous professional development of lawyers;

- disseminate and develop the principles of professional ethics and correctness;

- promote the promotion of professional development; - provide opportunities for growth and exchange to young graduates who intend to pursue a career in the civil justice sector;

- promote all activities aimed at preserving the prestige of the legal profession and procedural guarantees;

- maintain relationships and promote initiatives with the various bodies and associations of the legal profession, with judicial authorities, and with representatives of public authorities, for the better functioning of civil justice.

- pursue the goals and objectives set by the National Union of Civil Chambers, of which it is currently a member.

Who can join

Lawyers registered with the Professional Register who primarily practice civil law at the Cosenza Bar Association, who are of good moral character and have not received disciplinary sanctions exceeding a censure, may become ordinary members of the Civil Chamber.

Admission to membership is decided by the Board of Directors upon written application from the interested party.
