Privacy Made Simple

CatRec is designed around local screen capture.

• Recordings, screenshots, and GIFs are saved locally on your phone, usually in folders such as Movies/CatRec and Pictures/CatRec unless your device allows another location

• CatRec is not a cloud vault and is not designed to upload your screen recordings as part of normal use

• Notifications are used to show recording status and controls, which Android requires for foreground screen recording on modern versions

• Optional usage and crash analytics may help improve stability and fix bugs, and can be turned off in settings

• Ad personalization choices are handled separately from basic analytics where available

• Permissions are requested only for the features that need them, such as screen capture, microphone, overlay, camera, and media/storage access
