ChargeGeek is a free battery monitor for understanding battery charging in detail. Follow charging power, charging current, voltage and temperature in real time. Use the live charge meter to watch your battery charge level, or record complete sessions to examine charging speed and compare chargers and cables under similar conditions.

Use ChargeGeek as a battery-side charger tester to compare charge speed across different chargers and cables. For a meaningful charger check, compare sessions recorded at similar battery levels and temperatures.

CHARGING HISTORY AND INSIGHTS

• Browse previous sessions and filter them by wired, USB, wireless or dock power.

• Explore average charging power and temperature across battery levels over the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.

• Use the power heatmap to see how historical charging performance varies with battery level and temperature.

• Look for patterns such as reduced power at higher temperatures, while remembering that a graph shows correlation rather than the cause.

AUTOMATIC RECORDING AND CONTROL

• Start recording automatically when battery charging begins, or receive a notification that lets you decide.

• Choose a sampling interval from 1 to 60 seconds.

• Automatically remove older sessions after your selected retention period, or keep them indefinitely.

EXPORT AND SHARE

• Export raw measurements as a TSV file for analysis in a spreadsheet.

• Generate and share a formatted chart image summarizing a charging session.

BATTERY HEALTH AND DEVICE INFORMATION

View Android’s reported battery health status, charging source, battery chemistry and supported sensor readings. On compatible devices, ChargeGeek can also display state of health, cycle count, capacity level and remaining-energy information. The compatibility screen shows which readings your device provides.

Choose Celsius or Fahrenheit and use the system, light or dark theme.

IMPORTANT MEASUREMENT INFORMATION

ChargeGeek uses Android’s BatteryManager APIs and readings exposed by your device. Availability and accuracy vary by phone and manufacturer. Like any software charging meter, ChargeGeek reports battery-side measurements rather than wall output or a charger’s maximum rated capability. Conversion losses and power used by the device mean battery-side readings will be lower than the power flowing into the device.

ChargeGeek cannot override Android’s charging controls or make a device charge faster, but it can help you understand and optimize your charging setup.
