Chirps

Chirps is an application for the five Claremont Colleges. The main feature is that students are able to post announcements to relevant schools, and they are also able to view announcements relevant to their own school. The project was motivated by an existing system with the same name at Pomona College, which is the primary method of communicating events and other announcements to the entire student body. Students submit announcements, or "chirps", by email or through a web form to the administrator of the Chirps system. The administrator then manually generates a daily email containing the approved Chirps, loosely categorized into preset categories like social, academic, and for-sale listings.
