Citizen Data Contributor App

Disclaimer: We collect data internally for our projects from cities including Pune and this app is ONLY for those who have 'expressed interest' to contribute images onto our projects. We are not depending on citizens to contribute images and this solely for citizens who express interest to contribute more images to make Pune TrafWatch successful.

This app only asks you to upload images and hence only has a camera button, no manual intervention. Location is fetched from the image automatically by our backend using GPS extraction and content of images is tagged using a combination of processes including Machine Learning.

If the users are expecting this to be another app which asks you to upload issues that somebody will 'resolve through the app', then we wish to inform you its not. This just offers a holistic view of chronic trouble areas to prioritise action. The authorities may not be equipped to handles thousands of one-on-one issues that come to them and citizens feel disappointed, understandably so.

On Pune TrafWatch, we are collecting live and exhaustive images of all possible issues, in thousands, structuring the data, prioritising looking at severity and numbers and creating action triggers that share 'package of location wise issues' to the authorities so that what they have is well planned and doable.
