CRIS

Designed for charities and other small organisations, CRIS is a simple, secure app for managing care records. It stores information in a distributed database, synchronised whenever you have access to the Internet. This allows you to use the app in any location even when you have no mobile signal or wireless. Data is encrypted on the tablet and during synchronisation and two-factor authentication is provided, making it safe to hold confidential client information.

The app is designed to completely replace paper records, making information easily available at all times. Updates to client records are transferred to all the care team via the background synchronisation so everyone is kept up to date. The care record includes standard demographic information, including contact details for relatives, and schools/care agencies as well as session attendance, notes and forms. Documents may be scanned (or photographed) enabling external information to be captured and made available to the team.

Important Note: This app uses the 'Send SMS' permission.

Allowing CRIS to Send SMS messages is optional. If activated, it enables

CRIS to send SMS messages to groups of users attending a particular session. This provides a useful way to communicate information rapidly to all people attending a particular session (If you choose not to enable the SMS Send permission, you will not be able to use this feature.)

You can disable this feature, at any time using the App Permission settings.

The above explanation will appear when the option to activate the 'SMS Send' permission is offered.

Important Note: This app uses the Device Administrator permission.

Activating the device administrator is optional. If activated, it enables

CRIS to use the Android screen lock when the user selects the Lock

menu option. This presents a more integrated user experience by

utilising the device pin, lock password or swipe gesture. (If you choose

not to enable the device administrator then the CRIS password will

need to be re-entered each time you lock CRIS.)

If Device Administrator permission is activated, CRIS will enforce length

and character rules on the device password and will lock the screen

when the CRIS lock option is selected.

You can disable this feature, at any time, using the main menu option:

"Disable Device Administrator"
