CrossWalk

This app only works in specific cities and at specific intersections.

The CrossWalk app is designed to help people who are less mobile or blind crossing an intersection using the pedestrian traffic lights.

In order to keep the flow of normal motorized traffic to a high level, the traffic lights of pedestrian crossings have sometimes minimal green times. That is difficult for people who cannot move fast enough to the other side. For them, this app ensures that the light stays green longer.

Blinds are helped by turning on and off the so-called audibles. These are often turned off at night times.

Use of CrossWalk in traffic:

As a road user and user of the CrossWalk app you remain at all times fully responsible for the adherence to all applicable traffic rules, the self-assessment of the traffic situation, the observation of the formal physical traffic signs, signalling devices, traffic lights or other indicators. Dynniq Netherlands B.V. will assume no responsibility for any damage arising from the use of the CrossWalk app.

Dynniq Netherlands B.V. cannot guarantee that the information provided by the CrossWalk app will be uninterrupted or error-free. In extreme cases this CrossWalk app can show other information than the physical traffic signals on the road, including but not limited to dynamic signs, traffic lights or audibles. Therefore, the actual traffic signs and rules are always leading and not the information on the CrossWalk app.
