Do Nothing asks one thing of you.

Place your phone face down. Then wait.

No notifications silenced. No timer on screen. No encouragement. No sound. The app keeps time quietly while you are somewhere else — talking, walking, thinking, sleeping.

When you pick your phone up, you receive a haiku.

Not a random haiku. One matched to exactly how long you waited. The same duration as something happening in the natural world right now — a tide turning, a fog lifting, a reed warbler finishing its nest, a glacier calving, a winter dawn arriving. You won't be told what the connection is. That's not the point.

The minimum session is one minute.

The maximum is yours to decide.
