The Matix Group has been established by the Kanodia family of the Datamatics Group. The Datamatics Group, established in 1975 and currently employing over 5000 people, is a multi-business information technology organisation which has pioneered innovative concepts and solutions in the IT sector.

Using state-of-the-art technology and adhering to international safety and environment norms, the Matix Group will build world-class facility providing high quality products and services. The Matix Group's flagship investment is a 3 million ton per annum (MTPA) fertiliser plant in West Bengal in two phases.

In Phase 1, Matix has made total investment of about Rs 7000 crore to set up a 1.3 MTPA single stream Ammonia Urea plant with integrated facilities. The plant has been commissioned and supplies fertilizer close to where customers need it and reduce the region's dependency on imports.

The world-class plant has been developed with strategic international partners providing technology, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning support. A highly qualified and internationally experienced management team is running the plant operations.
